Tony Soprano and Donald Trump

I haven’t said anything about the Presidential election and I had not planned on it. But today while flying to Springfield Missouri via Atlanta, I viewed the final episode of the Sopranos. I will miss these characters. Epic series that I watched a decade late. But what I thought needed to be shared took place 25m30sec before the final scene. Tony picks up Anthony Jr in the car who announces he is joining the army. “It’ll probably good for my career. My ultimate goal is to qualify for helicopter pilot training. Afterwards I’ll go to work for Trump or somebody. Be their personal pilot.” This was Tony’s reaction back in 2007 – one of the most corrupt characters imaginable. Think of what his reaction would be 9 years later when he learned the Donald was running for President. These expressions speak for many of us, and hopefully on November 8 most of us. And that’s all I have to say about politics.
